I bought this about a year ago and couldn't remember if I did a review so here it goes. I got the 20 piece set. It was made in England and the quality is fine but every item seemed slightly undersized. I use the cereal bowls as condiment servers. The cups are also too small for my tastes. I'm in the process of replacing it now but still use the plates and small bowls for some things. Small portions! If this set were just a little larger it would be fine. The dishes are slightly shy of 10 inches and it really makes a difference if your serving something like turkey/stuffing/cranberry sauce. My new ones are slightly over 11 inches and much easier to plate.

Some of Finlandia's appeal can be attributed to its classic blue and white coloration. In addition, the crisp, balanced Scandinavian-inspired design never seems to look dated. Although it has organic floral elements and projects a certain delicacy, a great sense of orderliness and symmetry prevails. The swirling contours of the pieces add interest without being distracting. This is a pattern that seems at ease during formal occasions, and charmingly fresh for casual meals. Finlandia is one of the world's most enduring china patterns, having weathered fashion trends and the acquisition of its original manufacturer Myott Meakin by the Churchill China Group in 1991.The graceful and easy Churchill China Finlandia dinnerware is suitable for comfortable semi-formal occasions or stylish casual ones. A classic off white and navy blue combination, the pattern features a stylized wreath of stippled flowers and vines inspired by Scandinavian motifs. To catch the light subtly, the rims of the plates and bowls and the exteriors of the teacups feature an understated sculptural waviness. This 20-piece set includes four complete place settings, each with a 10-inch dinner plate, a 6-3/4-inch bread and butter plate, a 6-1/2-inch cereal bowl, a 5-1/2-inch saucer, and an 8-ounce teacup. The dishes are made from high-fired earthenware and finished with a glossy top-glaze to protect the printed pattern.
