Some of Finlandia's appeal can be attributed to its classic blue and white coloration. In addition, the crisp, balanced Scandinavian-inspired design never seems to look dated. Although it has organic floral elements and projects a certain delicacy, a great sense of orderliness and symmetry prevails. The swirling contours of the pieces add interest without being distracting. This is a pattern that seems at ease during formal occasions, and charmingly fresh for casual meals. Finlandia is one of the world's most enduring china patterns, having weathered fashion trends and the acquisition of its original manufacturer Myott Meakin by the Churchill China Group in 1991.The classic off white and navy blue Churchill China Finlandia dinnerware has a lovely Scandinavian look, suitable to comfortable semi-formal occasions or stylish casual ones. Each dish in this 5-piece completer set features the pattern's airy but emphatic design of stippled flowers and vinework. Subtly wavy sculptural rims add visual texture.
