The teapot arrived on time and was well packaged. It is lovely in design and functionality. I only wish it were a little larger.
Description of Churchill China Finlandia Tea Pot
Some of Finlandia's appeal can be attributed to its classic blue and white coloration. In addition, the crisp, balanced Scandinavian-inspired design never seems to look dated. Although it has organic floral elements and projects a certain delicacy, a great sense of orderliness and symmetry prevails. The swirling contours of the pieces add interest without being distracting. This is a pattern that seems at ease during formal occasions, and charmingly fresh for casual meals. Finlandia is one of the world's most enduring china patterns, having weathered fashion trends and the acquisition of its original manufacturer Myott Meakin by the Churchill China Group in 1991.The Churchill China Finlandia tea pot is a perfect complement to the mugs in the same pattern. Inspired by Scandinavian designs, this beautifully structured off-white tea pot is bound to become a topic of conversation. Created in shades of blue, the floral pattern repeats itself on each side while flowers and vines envelop the tea pot with a whimsical beauty. The lid complements the body of the tea pot and is adorned with additional flowers and a geometric banding. The graceful curve of the handle enables ones thumb to gently rest while pouring tea, and a distinctive sculptural definition covers the entire pot adding a unique depth to the sophisticated scene.
Measuring 9-1/2 inches from spout to handle, 6 inches wide, and 7 inches tall, this tea pot is suited to accompany other dinnerware, accessories, and serving pieces in the Finlandia line.
